Since July 2018 I have been teaching art to a wide range of people from older folk in care homes to individuals wanting to explore their artistic sides to destress from their jobs. Focussing on an artistic endeavour takes the mind off the worries of the day and can lift the spirit. Colour helps to rejuvenate the being. Painting and drawing are pleasurable pursuits. If you want to give it ago, please feel free to contact me. Below is a list of the courses that I provide.
One to one art sessions
With my one to one art classes I gear each session to the individual. First we work out a plan of where you want to take your art and then we implement it. We can look at art styles or artists that you particularly like and choose some works to reproduce. Or we can focus on observational drawing and painting. Still life painting is a wonderful way to learn about tonal range. You decide how many sessions you want and the frequency of them.
Picasso & Prosecco evenings
Picasso & Prosecco evenings are a fun way to explore your artistic side with a few friends. You will produce a self portrait in the style of Picasso whilst sipping on a few glasses of Prosecco. The Prosecco bit is optional but adds something if you do like a drink. These evening are fun and you will have yourself a self portrait on canvas painted in acrylics to keep forever. You will also learn a bit about Picasso and his style of painting.
